This production was developed especially for the residents of old people's homes and was also performed there.
A child and a woman walk through a museum. Three rooms: one with Russian paintings of the 19th century, one with French works from the first half of the 20th century and the last one with works of German Romanticism.
The woman wants to find herself in the pictures and reflect on her life, while the child sees completely different things in the art. He wants to race through the rooms or fall asleep on the leather bench, while the pictures and the woman mysteriously gradually become one ... In the end they find themselves in the museum café enjoying and reflecting on the moment with French chansons.
»Two steps closer«, the continuation of the first project will be created and performed in 2023. We will begin the production interviewing the older generation, gathering stories about their experiences with art in their childhood. Working with youth, we will explore the stories and see which memories find their way onto the stage. This time we will be accompanied by a documentary filmmaker.
